Pittsburgh Steelers, Metcalf

Pittsburgh Steelers wideout DK Metcalf was suspended for two games following a sideline altercation with a fan during the team's 29-24 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 16, the league announced Monday.
The two-game suspension for what the NFL terms "conduct detrimental" to the league now voids at least $45 million in future guaranteed money for the Pittsburgh Steelers receiver. Metcalf would still be able to earn that money over the next two years.
Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin is supportive of DK Metcalf after the receiver received a two-game suspension but said he doesn't condone his actions during Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
Without Metcalf (and potentially Austin), the Steelers will be counting upon mid-season additions Adam Thielen and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Scotty Miller would also likely see an uptick in usage. Metcalf’s absence would also thrust second-year receiver Roman Wilson back into action; he’s been a healthy scratch the last three games.
Because Metcalf’s biggest mental mistake yet is one that could cost him over $25 million if the Steelers decide that he isn’t worth the trouble. By now you’ve already heard that Metcalf had a physical altercation with a Detroit Lions fan on Sunday and was subsequently suspended by the NFL for two games.
A new video angle has emerged from the incident in which the Steelers star took a swipe at a Lions fan on Sunday.
