An estimated 30,000 people lost their limbs during Sierra Leone’s brutal civil war in the 1990s. Many have struggled to overcome the mental as well as physical burdens of the conflict and been unable to find work. But now some amputees are being trained in agricultural skills, which they can use to start their own farms and teach others in their communities. | BBC News Africa
